The research design and methodology involve a comprehensive literature analysis, incorporating seminal theories and recent empirical studies to elucidate the interconnectedness of investment choices and funding strategies. Findings indicate that effective coordination between capital budgeting and financing decisions is essential for firms to optimize resource allocation, manage financial risks, and enhance shareholder value. Strategic capital allocation enables firms to prioritize investments that offer the highest potential for value creation while aligning investment decisions with financing considerations, which ensures efficient use of financial resources. The implications of this research suggest that integrating capital budgeting and financing decision-making enables firms to navigate dynamic market conditions, adapt to regulatory changes, and capitalize on emerging opportunities. The population of this study includes all patients—general, BPJS, and insurance—who received treatment or care at Provita Hospital Jayapura in 2022. A sample of 90 patients was selected. The data analysis method used is mediation analysis with data processed using SmartPls version 3.00 software. The findings indicate that the performance of Provita Hospital is generally reasonable. This is evidenced by results from the financial, customer, and internal business processes and growth and learning perspectives, all of which exceed standard hospital benchmarks. Specifically, the hospital shows strong liquidity, solvency, and cost recovery rate performance, although improvements are needed in the total assets turnover ratio. Customer retention rates are high, but customer acquisition rates need enhancement. Internal processes, measured by LOS and GDR, meet the standards, but BOR requires attention. Employee satisfaction and training are satisfactory, although retention is slightly above the ideal rate. The study highlights the importance of continuous improvement in financial management, customer service, and employee development. The results suggest practical strategies for hospital management to enhance overall performance by leveraging strengths and addressing weaknesses identified in the Balanced Scorecard analysis. These findings are valuable for policymakers and hospital administrators aiming to improve healthcare service quality and operational efficiency.</p> Andreas Ferik Fiada Thahan, Muhammad Yamin Noch, Suratini Suratini Hak Cipta (c) 2024 The Journal of Business and Management Research https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://jurnal.uniyap.ac.id/uyp/index.php/tjbmr/article/view/643 Wed, 31 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0200 Deciphering Financial Strategy Management: Insights into Performance and Investment Decision-Making http://jurnal.uniyap.ac.id/uyp/index.php/tjbmr/article/view/657 <p>This study explores financial strategy management's implications on organizational performance and investment decision-making processes. Employing a qualitative approach, the research conducts a comprehensive literature review to synthesize existing knowledge. The study highlights the significance of effective financial strategy management in enhancing organizational profitability, liquidity, and growth prospects. Through an analysis of empirical studies by Graham and Harvey (2001), Fama and French (1993), and Carhart (1997), the research underscores the importance of tailored financial strategies and active portfolio management in achieving superior investment performance. Furthermore, integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into financial strategy formulation is examined, drawing on research by Li and Tang (2020), which suggests that companies embracing sustainability principles can achieve competitive advantages and attract socially responsible investors. The findings emphasize the multifaceted nature of financial strategy management, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of internal and external factors influencing financial decisions. The study also discusses future research directions, including exploring emerging trends such as digitalization, the role of behavioral biases in financial decision-making, and longitudinal studies tracking the performance of financial strategies over time. This research contributes to the theoretical understanding and practical implications of financial strategy management in navigating dynamic market environments.</p> Yulianah Yulianah Hak Cipta (c) 2024 The Journal of Business and Management Research https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://jurnal.uniyap.ac.id/uyp/index.php/tjbmr/article/view/657 Wed, 31 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0100
