THE INFLUENCE OF SPACE ENVIRONMENT MATERIALS ON THE DURABILITY OF MUSEUM PAINTING COLLECTIONS (Case Study: Gallery Building 1, Affandi Museum Yogyakarta)

Abstract

The painting gallery is the main storage place in a museum. Collections stored in the museum have certainly been stored for a long time. Therefore, the researcher will see how the influence of scoping elements on the gallery building on the painting collection from the affandi museum.  The research method in this study uses simulation with Autodesk Ecotect Analysis 2011 software, as well as field observation methods by recording the existing conditions of Gallery 1 of the Affandi museum, Yogyakarta. The temperature in the gallery 1 building is strongly influenced by the type of material used. After the second simulation, there is a difference in the resulting temperature even though it does not meet the requirements of POSOKM. It is very difficult to reduce the room temperature if it is only determined based on the type of enclosure material considering that this building has minimal air ventilation
